Bleeding Control Kits for Schools provide the essential tools needed to stop life-threatening bleeding in the critical minutes before emergency responders arrive. Designed for classrooms and school environments, these kits allow teachers, staff, and bystanders to take immediate action during a traumatic emergency.

The compact kit features an organized interior layout so components can be quickly identified and deployed under stress. Its portable design allows it to be easily stored in a classroom cabinet, desk drawer, backpack, or other accessible location.

Clear instructions included in the kit guide the responder through the priorities of bleeding control, including how to treat severe arterial bleeding using a tourniquet and how to control moderate bleeding using gauze and direct pressure.

Training Included

Each kit includes access to the Tramedic® Training Portal, where users can watch short instructional videos covering each component in the kit. The training content is designed for users of all ages and can be assigned by a training manager such as a school nurse, safety officer, or school resource officer. Progress tracking allows administrators to verify staff completion.

Proven Implementation

Bleeding control programs are already being implemented in schools across the country. In South Carolina, more than 19,000 bleeding control kits were distributed to public schools through a collaboration between healthcare systems, the state’s HPP Advisory Council, and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
