The North American Rescue ARS® (Air Release System) for Needle Decompression is a purpose-built device engineered to relieve tension pneumothorax quickly and reliably in the field. Developed through feedback from military medics and emergency medical professionals, the ARS® features a rugged, high-flow needle and catheter assembly designed to penetrate the chest wall and allow trapped air to escape from the pleural space.
Each device includes a 14-gauge, 3.25-inch catheter that is protected within a hard plastic case to prevent kinking and maintain readiness under extreme conditions.
