Bleeding Control for the Injured (BCON) is a 4 hour course that teaches participants the basic life-saving medical interventions, including bleeding control with a tourniquet, bleeding control with gauze packs or topical hemostatic agents, and opening an airway.

About the Event
This course is available at no cost to any Law Enforcement Officer, EMT/Paramedic, Firefighter, Frist Responder, Public Safety Official, School/College/University Employee in the New Jersey Urban Area Security Initiative region. This includes: Jersey City and Newark, as well as the counties of Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, and Union.
Bleeding Control for the Injured (BCON) is a 4 hour course that teaches participants the basic life-saving medical interventions, including bleeding control with a tourniquet, bleeding control with gauze packs or topical hemostatic agents, and opening an airway with an NPA to allow a casualty to breathe and using chest seals.
